SmallTalk2Me Review

What is SmallTalk2Me?

SmallTalk2Me is an AI-powered platform for practicing spoken English, designed to give learners automated assessment and feedback without needing a live tutor.

Its best-known feature is a free CEFR-aligned English level test that takes around fifteen minutes and estimates a learners proficiency from A1 to C2 with high claimed accuracy, which gives users a clear baseline before they start practicing.

Beyond the level test, the platform offers an IELTS speaking simulator that mirrors the three parts of the real exam and provides estimated band scores, an AI mock job interview mode for professional preparation, and structured courses covering business English, conversational English and advanced speaking.

After each spoken session the AI analyzes fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar and returns detailed feedback, while progress tracking shows improvement over time. Because everything runs asynchronously, learners can practice at any hour on their own schedule without booking sessions.

The product is aimed at English learners preparing for exams, job interviews or general fluency, and it reports a large global user base across many countries. Pros include a genuinely useful free level test, exam and interview simulation, and round-the-clock practice with instant feedback.

Cons are that automated AI feedback cannot fully replace a human tutors nuance, and that the most advanced practice and courses sit behind a premium subscription. Pricing changes often, so check the official site for current plans.
