Dashtoon Review

What is Dashtoon?

Dashtoon is a comic creation and reading ecosystem whose Dashtoon Studio gives creators AI-assisted tools to make comics, manga, and manhwa effortlessly, even without traditional drawing skills.

In the studio, users design characters, generate scenes, and lay out pages with speech bubbles and templates, building stories in minutes using AI image generation and editing under the hood.

The platform pairs this creation side with a consumer reading app available on iOS and Android, where audiences discover and read serialized titles across genres like romance, action, fantasy, drama, and thriller, giving creators a built-in distribution channel.

This dual nature, a studio plus an audience, is a key differentiator from pure generation tools, since creators can publish directly to readers. Target users include aspiring and established comic and webtoon creators who want to produce and monetize serialized visual stories.

Strengths are the integrated create-and-publish workflow, character and scene consistency tools, and an existing reader base; trade-offs are that AI-assisted art still requires editing for polish and consistency, and that the published catalog includes mature-themed romance and drama, so creators should follow the platform's content guidelines.

Dashtoon uses a freemium approach with free creation tools and tiered creator plans, plus premium content access on the reading side. Pricing changes often, so check the official site for current plans.
